The HSSEQ Officer at East West Transport plays a vital role in maintaining a safe and compliant working environment. This includes capturing safety, transportation, and fuel compliance data, providing HSS&E support, conducting regular workplace inspections, and ensuring all activities meet EWT’s standards and policies.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be expected to carry out the following key duties and contribute effectively to the overall objectives of the role and organisation.

  • Ensure all safety, transportation, and fuel compliance data are accurately captured in the system.
  • Provide health, safety, security, and environment (HSS&E) support to operations.
  • Conduct regular workplace inspections to identify risk factors and hazards.
  • Ensure full compliance with East West Transport’s standards and policies.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should demonstrate the following education, experience, technical competencies, and professional attributes required to successfully perform this role.

  • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Occupational Health, Safety, Security & Environment.
  • Certificate Level 1, 2, 3, and 4 in related fields.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of relevant work experience.
  • Valid driver’s license as required.
  • Experience with Riskware system.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong computer and IT skills.
  • High integrity, confidentiality, accuracy, and professionalism.
  • Deadline oriented with close attention to detail.
