MasterSystem Technologies Ltd is seeking a skilled Drill Bit Rig Technician to join their team in Morobe, Papua New Guinea. Drillcube, an Australian-owned mining services company and partner, provides quality underground mining consumables globally to improve mining efficiency and productivity. This role is crucial in managing drilling consumables, rig servicing, and ensuring quality and safety standards in underground mining operations.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be expected to carry out the following key duties and contribute effectively to the overall objectives of the role and organisation.
- Manage the collection, inspection, replenishment, and inventory of drilling consumables across underground mining operations.
- Support daily rig servicing tasks to maintain operational efficiency.
- Oversee the refurbishment of drill bits ensuring they meet quality standards.
- Conduct regular quality control checks to maintain safety and performance.
- Deliver services in a safe, efficient, and timely manner to support mining workflows.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should demonstrate the following education, experience, technical competencies, and professional attributes required to successfully perform this role.
- Experience in underground mining is essential.
- Proven experience in rig maintenance and servicing.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
