WWF-Pacific is seeking a strategic Conservation Programme Manager in Port Moresby to lead conservation efforts, focusing on community-led projects, sustainable fisheries, and climate resilience in Papua New Guinea.

Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be expected to carry out the following key duties and contribute effectively to the overall objectives of the role and organisation.
- Manage and mentor the PNG conservation team.
- Drive the implementation of the WWF-Pacific Strategic Plan and Global Goals.
- Build and maintain relationships with PNG government agencies (Provincial & National), donors, and regional bodies (SPC, SPREP, FFA).
- Ensure programs meet Environmental Safeguards (ESSF) and GEDSI standards.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should demonstrate the following education, experience, technical competencies, and professional attributes required to successfully perform this role.
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Marine Science, or Social Sciences.
- 7+ years in project/program management, specifically in biodiversity or marine conservation (Pacific experience preferred).
- Proven track record in budget management, proposal writing, and policy advocacy.
- Fluency in English and Tok Pisin is essential.
