Job Opportunity: Traffic Porter – Manus Airport

Air Niugini is seeking a suitably qualified and reliable individual to join the Airport Operations Team in Manus as a Traffic Porter.

This role is critical to ensuring the safe and accurate loading/unloading of aircraft and the timely turnaround of flights, all in compliance with company and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Marshal aircraft during arrival and departure.
• Safely load and unload baggage and cargo.
• Report mishandled baggage or cargo to the Senior Traffic Officer.
• Ensure baggage and cargo are prepared for outbound flights.
• Perform fuel drainage checks and other ramp duties.
• Keep terminal and work areas clean, safe, and organized.
• Store ramp equipment securely after each day’s operation.
• Carry out any other duties as directed by supervisors.

Requirements

• Minimum Grade 12 Certificate.
• Possess a valid PNG Driver’s Licence.
• Must be male and in good physical health.
• Reside in or near Manus town/Momote Airport.
• Relevant work experience is an advantage (but not mandatory).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Loyal, disciplined, and committed to teamwork.
