Blackswan is looking for an Armorer
The Blackswan Armorer will be reporting to the Manager Intelligence and Investigation. The incumbent is responsible for the procurement and proper maintenance of the Company’s ammunition in-line with the Standard Operating Procedures and Company regulations.

Responsibilities
- Work closely with the respective Units to ensure that all Company weapons are properly maintained and that ammunition is properly stored and accounted for,
- Diagnose and repair any damage to firearms, ensuring that they are in working order before being returned to service,
- Constantly inspect firearms for damage and wear
- Coordinate with the respective Units for proper logistics and supply management,
- Assist in the selection and procurement of new firearms and other weaponry,
- Provide training to personnel on the safe handling and use of firearms.
Personal Attributes
- Knowledge of firearms and weapon systems,
- Previous experience in cleaning, maintaining and repairing firearms,
- Understanding of security management and protocols,
- Familiarity with military or law enforcement weapons system,
- Ability to perform basic computer tasks such as data entering and using email.
Technical Skills
- Must be a Grade 12 graduate,
- Must have tertiary qualification, specifically in mechanical engineering or related field,
- Must possess a certificate from a recognized firearm training organization
- At least two to three years of armory or related firearm experience
- Must possess a valid driver’s license (Class 6)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions,
- Excellent communication skills.
Essential Requirements
- Must have an updated resume
- Must provide certified copies of any relevant academic qualifications
- Must provide employment references if previously employed;
- Must have 2 ID type photos;
- Must have a current bank account;
- Must have a Medical Report for Employment obtained within the last six (6) months;
- ·Must possess a Police Clearance Certificate obtained within the last eight (6) months;
- Drug and alcohol check may also be undertaken (at company cost);
- Must live within the city limits.
