ESS is seeking a skilled Security Trainer in Port Moresby to educate and mentor security personnel, enhancing safety and operational effectiveness in line with industry standards.

ESS is looking for a competent Security Trainer to join their team in Port Moresby. The successful candidate will be responsible for training security personnel and guards to improve operational effectiveness, safety, and adherence to company standards.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be expected to carry out the following key duties and contribute effectively to the overall objectives of the role and organisation.

  • Conduct training for security guards and personnel in line with company standards
  • Develop training modules, manuals, and course materials
  • Facilitate refresher training and conduct training assessments
  • Maintain accurate training records
  • Ensure alignment with company safety standards and regulatory requirements
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and evaluation of security staff
  • Identify training gaps and suggest improvements
  • Prepare detailed reports on training activities

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should demonstrate the following education, experience, technical competencies, and professional attributes required to successfully perform this role.

  • Proven experience in security
  • Strong knowledge of procedures, risk management, and safety protocols
  • Ability to develop structured training programs
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work with teams and maintain discipline in training environments
  • Relevant certifications in security training, HR, or assessment advantageous
  • Military or disciplinary forces background is a plus
