The Civil and Identity Registry (CIR) in Papua New Guinea seeks Data Entry Officers in the National Capital District to accurately process vital registration data, supporting national identity and governance goals.
The Civil and Identity Registry (CIR) invites dedicated and responsible individuals to join their team as Data Entry Officers based in the National Capital District (NCD). This role focuses on maintaining the integrity and accuracy of vital national records, including birth and National Identity registrations.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be expected to carry out the following key duties and contribute effectively to the overall objectives of the role and organisation.
- Verify accuracy of forms and supporting documents against requirements before data entry.
- Achieve a minimum of 50 entries per day, including Birth and NID Registrations.
- Ensure all entries comply with the Civil and Identity Registration Act 2024.
- Report discrepancies regarding vetting and registration or suspected fraudulent documents to the Team Leader.
- Follow up with the Team Leader for client queries using the Control Listing.
- Maintain confidentiality and integrity of sensitive personal information.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should demonstrate the following education, experience, technical competencies, and professional attributes required to successfully perform this role.
- Degree, Advanced Diploma, or Diploma from a recognized University/College (IT fields are an advantage).
- Computer literacy and familiarity with various computer programs.
- Good team player and of sober habits.
- Familiar with provinces, districts, LLGs, and wards in PNG.
- In good health and physically fit; must provide a current medical certificate.
- Between 20 – 26 years of age.
- Must provide a current police clearance.
- Able to work late and on weekends.
