The Australian Government, through the PNG-Australia Transport Sector Support Program (TSSP3) implemented by DT Global, supports Papua New Guinea to develop an efficient and inclusive transportation network. DT Global is commissioning consultancy services for the detailed design of the Pangara Bridge on the Arawa-Buin Highway in Central Bougainville. This project aims to create a structurally sound, cost-effective, and sustainable bridge to provide reliable year-round access for local road users. The consultancy involves detailed engineering design, preparation of quantity bills, cost estimation, technical specifications, and all necessary contract documents for future construction.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be expected to carry out the following key duties and contribute effectively to the overall objectives of the role and organisation.

  • Conduct detailed bridge design including concept and technical drawings
  • Prepare Bill of Quantities and accurate cost estimates
  • Develop comprehensive technical specifications
  • Compile all necessary documentation for construction tender

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should demonstrate the following education, experience, technical competencies, and professional attributes required to successfully perform this role.

  • Proven experience in infrastructure design consultancy
  • Deep knowledge of bridge design principles
  • Minimum 5 to 9 years of relevant professional experience
