This full-time FIFO position is based at various project sites in Papua New Guinea, including New Porgera Ltd. Candidates will manage all HR functions onsite to support project goals and workforce effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with project leads and HRM to identify staffing needs and develop recruitment strategies for project-specific roles.
  • Oversee onboarding to ensure safety and operational protocol compliance.
  • Develop and implement HR initiatives onsite.
  • Be the main contact for all site employee HR matters.
  • Address employee concerns and foster a positive environment.
  • Prepare HR trend reports for leadership.
  • Recommend improvements from data analysis.
  • Provide guidance on benefits and compensation inquiries.
  • Conduct audits of HR practices and enforce policies.
  • Ensure compliance with safety requirements, labor laws, and health regulations.
  • Participate actively in Safety Training and hazard reduction.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Qualification in Human Resource Management, Business Management, or related field.
  • Experience in mining or private sector preferred.
  • HRM Certificate 1 or 2 with knowledge of HR laws.
  • Minimum 5 years as Human Resource Generalist; 3 years site-based role.
  • Strong HR commercial knowledge and change management understanding.
  • High computer literacy and excellent English skills.
  • Strong planning, organizing, and execution abilities.
