New Porgera Limited (NPL) presents the Industrial Training Program 2026, an internship designed for highly motivated students seeking to transform academic knowledge into practical experience within the mining sector.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be expected to carry out the following key duties and contribute effectively to the overall objectives of the role and organisation.
- Gain real-world operational experience within a major mining environment.
- Work alongside leading technical and corporate specialists.
- Build practical competencies to complement your academic qualifications.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should demonstrate the following education, experience, technical competencies, and professional attributes required to successfully perform this role.
- Minimum cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher.
- Currently enrolled in the 3rd or 4th year of undergraduate study at a recognized PNG tertiary institution.
- Eligible disciplines include Engineering (Instrumentation, Mining, Mineral Processing, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil), Geosciences (Geology, Lands & Surveying), Social & Environmental Sciences (Environment, OHS, Communication for Community Development), and Business & Corporate Services (Human Resources, Finance).
