Mapai Transport Ltd is hiring experienced Tradesmen (Mechanics/Electricians) to support maintenance of their heavy vehicle fleet and machinery. This role is based in Lae, Goroka, and Mt Hagen. Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be expected to carry out the following key duties and contribute effectively to the overall objectives of the role and organisation.
- Maintain heavy vehicle fleet and machinery to ensure operational efficiency
- Perform mechanical repairs and technical diagnostics on heavy equipment
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to keep vehicles and machinery in top condition
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should demonstrate the following education, experience, technical competencies, and professional attributes required to successfully perform this role.
- Trade Certificate in Heavy Equipment, Diesel Mechanic, Auto Sparky, or related trade
- Minimum 5 years workshop experience, preferably working on heavy vehicles and machinery
- Strong mechanical and technical diagnostic skills
