Paradise Foods Limited is looking for a skilled HR Business Partner to join their team in Lae, Papua New Guinea. This position plays a crucial role in aligning human resource strategies with business goals in the Food Manufacturing industry, driving performance, and nurturing a positive workplace culture.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be expected to carry out the following key duties and contribute effectively to the overall objectives of the role and organisation.

  • Collaborate with senior leaders to develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business objectives
  • Provide insights on workforce planning, organisational design, and talent requirements
  • Act as a trusted advisor on all people-related matters
  • Support recruitment strategies for key roles
  • Drive performance management processes including goal setting, reviews, and feedback
  • Identify high-potential employees and support succession planning
  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues
  • Ensure fair and consistent application of company policies
  • Promote and maintain a positive workplace culture
  • Lead change management initiatives
  • Support leadership development and coaching
  • Identify training and development needs across the business
  • Analyse HR data to support decision-making
  • Provide regular reports and insights to senior leadership
  • Ensure compliance with labour laws and company policies
  • Review, update, and implement HR policies as required

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should demonstrate the following education, experience, technical competencies, and professional attributes required to successfully perform this role.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (desirable)
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar HR role, preferably in the FMCG industry
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities
  • Ability to influence and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels
