Remington Group seeks a strategic General Manager to lead BizPrint’s commercial printing operations in Port Moresby, driving profitability and client relationships.

The Remington Group is seeking a dynamic and strategic General Manager to head BizPrint, their premier commercial printing and packaging unit in Port Moresby. This executive role demands leadership in sales, production, and operations to ensure business unit profitability and high client satisfaction. The General Manager will oversee all commercial sales pipelines, print production floors, factory operations, and supply chain management with a strong focus on aligning with the group’s strategic goals.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be expected to carry out the following key duties and contribute effectively to the overall objectives of the role and organisation.

  • Provide end-to-end oversight of BizPrint’s commercial sales and print production operations.
  • Drive top-line revenue growth and control operational expenditures to meet profit margins and business goals.
  • Serve as the executive point of contact for key corporate accounts ensuring repeat enterprise business.
  • Oversee internal production scheduling, design workflows, print floor operations, and technical maintenance teams.
  • Enforce strict quality standards to minimize waste and ensure timely deliveries.
  • Lead sourcing strategies for print substrates, machinery parts, paper, and inks to prevent downtime.
  • Monitor and deliver data-driven sales forecasts, operational efficiency metrics, and reports to the CEO.
  • Lead and mentor high-performance sales and technical production teams fostering a strong company culture.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should demonstrate the following education, experience, technical competencies, and professional attributes required to successfully perform this role.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Print Management, or related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of progressive leadership experience preferably in commercial print, packaging, or manufacturing sectors.
  • Solid experience in B2B corporate sales execution and corporate account management.
  • Proven ability to manage large technical teams and multimillion kina assets with tight deadlines.
  • Must hold a valid PNG Driver’s License and maintain an impeccable corporate record.
