Key Responsibilities
- Drive WHO vehicles safely for staff, visitors, field visits, and deliveries.
- Assist visitors with airport pickups and customs/immigration formalities.
- Perform daily vehicle checks including fuel, tires, oil, safety kits, and insurance; keep accurate logs.
- Manage routine vehicle maintenance and coordinate major repairs as needed.
- Ensure GPS and tracking systems are operational every day.
- Support messenger duties like loading and unloading mail, goods, and supplies.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Completion of secondary, technical, or commercial school education and a valid Papua New Guinea driving license.
- At least 1 year of professional driving experience with a clean driving record.
- Strong knowledge of PNG traffic laws and local road topography.
- Basic vehicle mechanics skills and good communication and reporting abilities.
- Intermediate level of English language proficiency.
- Physical ability to drive long hours and lift loads up to 25 kg.
