Steamships Head Office is seeking an experienced Chief Accountant to provide expert financial problem-solving, support management with analytical business reports, and ensure accurate monthly account reconciliations. The role offers a great opportunity to mentor junior staff, improve financial processes, and support audit activities while backing up senior finance leadership.

Job Requirements:
- Provide financial problem-solving support to staff and collaborate with management on analytical business reports.
- Coach and mentor junior team members to develop their skills.
- Ensure timely and accurate monthly account reconciliations and coordinate month-end reporting schedules.
- Review balance sheet control accounts and analyze monthly Profit & Loss statements.
- Address financial queries from the CFO, Financial Controller, joint-venture partners, and other stakeholders.
- Support internal and external audit requirements and contribute to property-related projects.
- Continuously improve financial processes, ensure statutory compliance, and strengthen internal controls.
- Provide backup support to the Financial Controller and CFO when required.
