PISC IT & Security Consults is on the lookout for a competent Accountant to manage their full accounting operations using Xero and other financial systems. This dynamic role requires precision in maintaining records, ensuring compliance with Papua New Guinea’s financial regulations, and providing insightful financial reports to support management’s decision-making.

Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea

Requirements

  • Manage full accounting operations using Xero
  • Maintain and reconcile Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
  • Record and reconcile daily cash transactions and petty cash
  • Prepare monthly and annual financial reports
  • Process payroll and employee entitlements
  • Calculate and lodge GST returns and Salary & Wages Tax (SWT) on the IRC portal
  • Ensure tax compliance and assist in tax planning to maximize benefits
  • Monitor cash flow, budgets, and cost control
  • Assist management in financial analysis and decision-making
  • Support external auditors and provide accurate documentation
  • Train admin staff in basic accounting if needed
